Does Social network take the place of Blogs?

I spent my lasts weeks on LinkedIn, doing business networking with interesting people. I could talk and get  in touch with more people on LinkedIn in one week than on Facebook in one year.  Of course there are more possibility to met them on a face-to-face meeting than most of my Facebook friends.. I found LinkedIn more addictive than other social. Maybe because there are more person dealing with my same problem all the day, and it is a good point to start a conversation, of course you have something…read more

My takeways form 37Signals’s books

I was really engaged by 37signal company philosophy in the last month, I definitely love their model and what they built in this last 10 years! I just finished both their two books, Getting Real and Rework. I would have discovered them before! It is really amazing how a book from 2003 is still so actual! Both are really effective, synthetic collection of suggestions and insight about how to develop a web apps in a smarter, effective and easier way, while demystifying many assumption about the best practice, as supposed…read more

Envisioning the product – most insightful highlights from Roman Pichler’s book

Some weeks ago I’ve read a book: “Agile Product Management with Scrum“, by Roman Pichler. It is a small but brilliant practical book focusing on agile Product Management with Scrum, with a focus on the the Product Owner’s tasks. After going trough several other books and references in the past weeks, and I recon that there are lots of books out there where the author just offers a looong list of options, still leaving me confused. Not so with this book. So I decided to review my kindle highlights on this book I…read more

RESONATE – How to make effective visual presentation of a story

The past week I spent most of my free time reading this “multimedia” book.  Actually it is the first time I read a digital book that it is not a PDF, but a real HTML5 interactive book. It provides a really nice digital experience to the reader, it includes images, video, links, etc.. Here the link: http://www.duarte.com/blog/free-multimedia-version-of-resonate/ from Nancy Duarte. The Books describe how to do good presentations and I’ve found it really really useful. I’ve spent a lot of time on preparing presentations in my career, and only now…read more

Nothing Happens Until Someone Sells Something

Very effective and interesting topic presented on a AIPMM webinar by Tom Evans. A lot of practices I usually adopt in my daily work but very well organized here in an effective presentation as a pragmatic methodology easier to adopt. Especially the idea of Product Backgrounder sheet and the Needs Discovery guide!
